After graduating the University of San Diego School of Law in 2000, Lauren began her legal career in Southern California where she gained significant experience in the representation of all contractors, subcontractors and design professionals concerning professional malpractice, construction defect and associated toxic mold claims, construction cost overrun and delay claims. She also handled all aspects of insurance claims and litigation involving construction matters. Additionally, she gained experience in intellectual property law, contract drafting and negotiation, as well as in litigating various business claims and disputes and alternate dispute resolution.

In 2004 Lauren returned home to New York and joined Ohrenstein & Brown. With Ohrenstein & Brown Lauren has been key in the handling of major insurance coverage and commercial litigation disputes, and has gained significant experience in the defense of professional malpractice claims, healthcare law and assisting brokers, purchasing groups, and captive insurance companies with regulatory and general business and compliance matters. For the past three years, Lauren has represented a major hospital management company and several New York hospitals. In this capacity Lauren handled a number of complex matters before state and federal courts on behalf of the hospitals and acted as a consultant to the hospitals reviewing contracts, aiding in negotiations, developing strategies, assessing disputes and potential disputes as they arose in an effort to avoid future litigation, and handling issues and matters before regulatory agencies.

In addition to her practice, Lauren has provided presentations to clients and attorneys on topics related to insurance coverage, legal malpractice and ethics, and intellectual property.
