After several years practicing various types of litigation on both the plaintiff and defense sides, Matthew Kogan now concentrates his practice in construction litigation; commercial litigation; appellate practice; professional liability; insurance coverage; and regulatory matters dealing with insurance. Matt has lectured to insurance companies and their clients regarding construction litigation and the defense of Labor Law claims.
Matt is a 1998 graduate of Hofstra University, where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, and a minor in Speech Communications and Rhetorical Studies. He graduated Hofstra University School of Law in 2001, where he was elected Managing Editor of Family Court Review: An Interdisciplinary Journal. In April 2001, Matt's article, "The Problems and Benefits of Adopting Family Group Conferencing for PINS (CHINS) Children" was published in that journal.
