After several years practicing various types of litigation on both the plaintiff and defense sides, Matthew Kogan now concentrates his practice in construction litigation; commercial litigation; appellate practice; professional liability; insurance coverage; and regulatory matters dealing with insurance. Matt has lectured to insurance companies and their clients regarding construction litigation and the defense of Labor Law claims.

Matt is a 1998 graduate of Hofstra University, where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, and a minor in Speech Communications and Rhetorical Studies. He graduated Hofstra University School of Law in 2001, where he was elected Managing Editor of Family Court Review: An Interdisciplinary Journal. In April 2001, Matt's article, "The Problems and Benefits of Adopting Family Group Conferencing for PINS (CHINS) Children" was published in that journal. Matt was admitted to practice in the State of New York in 2002.
